Christian Dalmau appealed to the Appellate Court and the Arbitration for Sport (TAAD) and "as if by magic, he removed all sanctions previously imposed by the Governing Board of the Basketball Federation of Puerto Rico (FBPR). The grounds set out to raise the punishment was based on alleged permission given by team management to leave his teammates Dalmau. The player was unhappy with his playing time.

The decision leaves us with more questions than answers about what happened ten days before the start of the 2010 FIBA \u200b\u200bWorld Championship in Turkey. Without going into evidence on the decision of Christian and extent of punishment that may or may not deserve for their actions, it is important to state that the resolution of TAAD could create a bad precedent for both FBPR to Puerto Rican sports in general.
